I’m reiterating my ‘best of 2011’ list in a slightly more curated fashion because I realized I forgot a coupla things, and it seemed to draw a friend’s attention when we were talking about year-end favorites tonight.
Also, not here are St. Vincent’s Strange Mercy and Battles’ Gloss Drop, because there is not enough room and decisions are hard! :(

I tried to make a year end favorites list. I was looking through 2011 on my mp3 player and realized this is really hard! There were so many! So instead, I just didn’t try very hard.

Yay! I got my Marshmallow Ghosts CD ripped. I thought I had a bum disc, but it turns out I just have a bum CD drive. I guess older drives just can’t make heads or tails of dual DVD/CDs.
Super thanks to Ryan Graveface for offering to help me out. I’m glad he got in touch with me because now I know about Dreamend, which I’m gonna have to check out.
I went to the record store and came home with the new Marshmallow Ghosts LP, amongst other things. I’m pretty excited. I have both of the little Halloween EPs they did.
Very cool. Orange and purple vinyl, came with a book and a DVD/CD. I’m irked, though, because my computer won’t recognize the CD and I can’t rip it D:<
Just in time for Halloween! I love these guys. I got both of their EPs on vinyl. The first one glows in the dark. Such fun! I just saw that they released a full length? Shit, that’s cool. I wish I had it. I would be listening to it now. Since it’s Halloween.
